What is a sponsorship?
For only $100 per month ($1200 yr) you can sponsor a woman in our program for one year. Or join in with your friends for a group sponsorship. You will receive quarterly updates on progress and attend our annual graduation ceremony and be recognized.
Your sponsorship enables one woman to find a pathway to self-employment or a living wage.
Here is a breakdown of what 1 sponsorship covers for one year:
Professional Facilitator $325
Childcare $265
Website, Marketing, Social Media setup $320
Training Materials $40
Food $250
Total: $1200
How do I become a mentor?
Mentors are women who have experience in running a business or nonprofit and are willing to commit 3 to 4 months to one of the women in our program. Mentors and mentees meet once or twice a month during this time. A brief mentor training is provided, along with a schedule of hoped for outcomes for the time period. The mentor program is an integral part of the Beloved Woman experience and explores the old saying, “when one person teaches, two learn.” It truly is a shared learning and growth experience. How do I volunteer?
We need volunteers to help with fundraisers, administrative duties, events and recruitment. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact our office at 423-402-0276 or email at belovedwomanchattanooga@gmail.com
What if I want to write a check or give a cash donation?
Our offices are located at 700 Pine Street, Chattanooga, TN, 37411 and 6300 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37209. Office hours are 10 - 3, M-Th. You can make a check out to Beloved Woman and mail it to our office at one of the addresses above, or make an appointment to stop by.
